Ethnography: Understanding Armenian Tradition

This year MVPS Theatre Department is producing Beast On The Moon. It tells the story of an Armenian Man who is exiled to the United States during WWI. In an attempt to get his life back to normal he orders a mail order bride. He and his wife plan to live life happily ever after; until a boy arrives…

My World History students are studying the Historical events of that time. We are viewing the Armenian History through the eyes of Design Thinking. Yesterday I went on a Discover Mission by visiting the Armenian Church of Atlanta. My goal was simply to observe and show respect to their culture. Like many groups they are striving to hold on to traditions in a world that is constantly changing.

Stayed tuned while I gather my thoughts over the next few weeks and share how the DEEPdt process unfolds.
